Description
CALIBAN’s last studio album “I Am Nemesis” (2012) charted at #21 of the German album charts marking the band’s highest chart entry so far. It confirmed the successful diversification of the band’s trademark modern metal sound which continues on “Ghost Empire”: a captivating musical milestone in the band’s career. The biggest novelty this time around is Andy Dörner’s vocals. Instead of just screaming he is also singing on “Ghost Empire”, sometimes together with his companion Denis Schmidt, sometimes on his own and other times with one of the several guest vocalists on the album such as Chirstoph Koterzina on “Good Man”. For the stunning “nebeL”, which marks their first song sung entirely in German, they got support from their longtime friend BastiBasti / Callejon (– who did the art for their second last album “Say Hello To Tragedy”). As another prominent guest you can hear Trivium’s Matt Heafy on “Falling Downwards” (only available on the Ltd. Edition CD+DVD, Ltd. Deluxe Box Set CD+DVD and digital album) and the stunning cover is the icing on the cake for this new sonic chapter in CALIBAN’s history.
